Dietrich says it's the "sobriety birthday" of Eggart and her involvement in AA.  He also said that the French "Bastille Day" is not recognized by the French:   "there being no “Bastille Day” in La République Française [“The French Republic”], such nonsense being purely Invention ‘o’ The English-Speaking Nations"

Just because the French don''t call it Bastille Day does not mean they don't observe it.  But Dietrich will always smear what is a simple truth.
