Dietrich and Vinny seem to think they can get away with writing a fictional book that proves that certain elements of the "Satanic Panic" of the 1980s are absolute truth.
But Dietrich's lies about Gary Willard Hambright, for example, can easily be determined false. Hambright was never convicted of any of the charges against him, they were all dismissed for various reasons including lack of evidence. He did not have nor did he infect children with Chlamydia. He did not infect any children with AIDS, but died of AIDS shortly after the last of the three charges was dismissed.
There was no evidence Hambright had a collection of child porn and no evidence Douglas Dietrich knew Hambright or had anything to do with his investigation or trials.
