According to Mapquest it is 438 driving miles by car, which probably means about 375 miles by air. Pretty far to get blown off course. Not only that but there are several mountain ranges they would have had to traverse to get to Roswell. If ddd knew anything about the terrain of NM, he'd know his version of Roswell is highly implausible.
