I took it in a classroom and it wasn't any easy class, but it wasn't impossible. You do need to know your shit if you don't want to negligently allow an aircraft to go down. For instance, the 1996 Valujet crash in Florida they loaded a bunch of oxygen generators with spare tires in the hold of an aircraft. One of the oxygen generators went off, releasing heat and pure oxygen near the grease laden spare tires. They spontaneously combusted and caused a fire in which the flight crew were rendered unconscious from the smoke and the plane augured into Everglades.
