The Presidio was one of many bases planned for closure by an act of Congress. It was a base for training on the West for the US Army Reserves, nothing more.  the US Sixth Army was simply relocated.

If you research the history of the unit, the child abuse scandal had nothing to do with the closure of the post.  Dietrich has based his credibility on a lie!
