David Anderson, it appears had problems serving in the USAF.  He may have been an ROTC cadet in college at West Virginia University, with access to a uniform, etc, but the NPRC found no record of service.  A similar issue of non-service can be found with Vinny Barbarick (Peter Moon) who avoided the Vietnam draft to become a member of Scientology.
