Yes!  Cook the venison with garlic, onions, thyme, salt and pepper, and red wine and use the mushroom sauce on the side with mashed potatoes and sour cream!
I gotta find a specialty meat shop nearby that sells venison. The last time I bought venison it was something like $25 bucks a pound and that was over 10 years ago. That shop was in Auburn, WA.

Dietrich and his "butt buddy" are totally off base regarding the death of Ann Heshe.  So many details they fucked-up and others never mentioned.  And Moon is gonna bore us all to sleep with time travel BS which means he will lie more about David Anderson (again).

I harvested a deer about 4 years ago (6 pointer) and it cost me 150.00 to have it skinned and processed to freeze.  I like venison but you can use cheaper meat cuts like top or bottom round steak (5.00 per pound) and achieve the same result.

Yeah, I got a top round roast from Albertson's for only $2.97 a pound.

Man, it seems like it was only a couple years ago you got that deer. Time flies.

YEah, it's all about experience and taste really.  I grew up with women in kitchens (Pennsylvania Dutch) and gardening and all that.  But the women used me as a "mule" and "prep-cook"as a kid.

But it served me well, later on, got jobs and eventually, I became a line cook in a restaurant.

When I was in college I had more than one job as a dishwasher. The best part of the job was the free shift meal. And you got a couple dollars from tips. It was always amazing how much better I lived with even an extremely low paying job.

Yeah.  I worked that way a long time.  Part-time for two places turned into full-time for one and part-time for others.  Never went hungry and drank cheap beer for free most of the time.

Those days will never be again.  I worked my ass off for over 10 years that way, in restaurants and bars etc.  It was brutal, but the people who work in that scene stick together, at least for a while.

I used to have a Pan-Am Globe that came off a set of airstairs that was about 3 feet in diameter. I had it mounted out side of my apartment on the wall and one day some guy knocked on my on my door and offered me $135 for it. Considering I paid nothing for it, I took the money.

There were times when I was out of work, sitting on a bar stool and have a local cook track me down because they fired a dishwasher or a prep-cook and needed me to cover the dinner shift (5-12 pm) So I would negotiate it and do the job.  So depending on the job, I would do dishes or cook.  But dishwashing was brutal because you had to clean the kitchen too, so most nights I didn't get done until after midnight.

Then I would walk down the street to my favorite bar and drink beer and play pool for free!  Because they knew I had worked my ass off.
