Dietrich just made a big fucking mistake
Beginning at 10:45:25 to 11:24: 20 Dietrich begins to read from an October 10, 2019 article by Elliot Ackerman: "Why Bringing Back the Draft Could Stop America's Forever Wars", later published in the October 21, 2019 issue of Time Magazine.

He actually hijacked and used Ackerman's article as the framework to insert his own bizarre, angry narrative. This isn't simply a failure to acknowledge someone else's work, it is essentially theft.
And here is the bad part: I doubt Dietrich realizes who he is stealing from. Ackerman is a former US Marine infantry and special operations officer (Captain), and a total badass.

loginHe was in Navy ROTC in college where he opted into a dual Bachelors's/Masters's program in 5 instead of 6 years, but delaying his commission in the USMC by a year. With the summer following his junior year free, he had superiors and others pull strings to attend jump school, combat diving school, and amphibious recon school.
At graduation, Ackerman not only held two degrees but was basically MARSOC qualified when he was commissioned. As an infantry platoon leader (2nd Lt) in the 2004 Battle of Falluja, he was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart. He later served with MARSOC and as a Marine Raider in Afghanistan.
