When I was a kid we had a German helmet and a GI steel pot without a liner my great uncle brought back from Europe. The German helmet was small and fit pretty well even though I was 10 years old. The steel pot was HUGE!

Yeah, they cost a pretty penny. I'm looking for something light and not cumbersome and reasonably priced. Even if all they do is slow the bullet down and not prevent penetration.

True  I even had a WW1 and a 1942 British "Brodie".  The liner was part rubber.

Do you still have them? We left those helmets when we moved out west and I have no idea what happened to them.
