Ok, I'm not a musician, I just listen to it.  And go see it live.  I'm not into, or even aware of the technical aspects of playing or recording music.  But I think I have a pretty good ear.  So I think in these discussions we may be talking apples and oranges.  I stand by my comment - it sure as hell isn't southern rock.

I am not discounting your thoughts and opinions. I didn't say "Southern Rock" - I said "Southern HARD rock"

Even Black Label Society has been considered to be SHR. HARD/Heavy being the key word here. Not meant to sound like the Allman's.

Since it has nothing in common with southern rock, what was the thinking there? 

''We suck, but we want to sell albums anyway so we'll piggyback on something people do like and market ourselves as ''southern hard rock'', without saying the word ''hard'' makes it distinctly different''?
