I'll post in the proper Christmas thread.
Last night the brass group played Christmas music at a house famous for its Christmas display, grinches, Santas, and other characters. Tour busses come to this place.  I almost froze.  Right on the marsh. 52F, 97% humidity, 10-knot wind.  Now that might not sound cold to our northern brethren, when the only clothes you own are t-shirts, shorts, and a pair of flip flops, that's cold.
52? Yeah.. that could get a little iffy when you're dressed so scantily clad.  ;D

Sounds like a good gig. Thank you for the report.  :D

The orchestra's annual Christmas cantada.  I played about 99.5% of the right notes.  All of the members of the Children's choir wore shoes - at only a block from the beach that's a problem sometimes.  The music starts about 10-minutes in.
Merry Christmas - Nice things, and posts, are nicer than nasty things.

That was great @JUAN.  That ending was Grand with a capital G.  Thanks!

I enjoyed that very much @JUAN

I full screened it and cranked it up, even broadcasted the audio to every room in the place via the Ccrane FM Transmitter. Felt like I was a kid (or me) in church at Christmas.

I sang along.
I made rice.
I folded some laundry.

A LOT better than Bart could do, right @damon ?

I caused the rice to become cooked from its previous state of what would be considered to be uncooked. Said rice is now in my refrigerator to be kept preserved until I decide to turn it into poo by way of my functioning bodily mechanicals.

Do you have a rice maker?  That's the way to go if you cook it often.

Rice the next day is so dry, its best use is for making fried rice, which can be awesome.  Or congee, bleh.

99.4%, pretty, pretty good.

Why are there Christmas trees in a church?

Coz it's Christmas Time.

Ya' know I'm just not sensing a Christmassy vibe on the board this year. I think we've lost too many contributors.

Do they put a Santa hat and beard on their Jesus staute too?
How about some HAPPY BIRTHDAY banners?

Heh heh heh  I knew you're going angling in this direction.
The trees are there simply because it's Christmas time, Bard.

Not sure that's equivalent, but where are you with the poinsettias?

Why do you think churches wouldn't have decorated Christmas trees or even Santa hats?  They're not part of the ''Christmas story'', but as secular seasonal decorations they aren't in opposition to it are they?  They aren't trying to re-create a manger scene here.

I expect shepherd shit and manger scenes.

The poinsettias make it look more like a whorehouse than a house of worship!
