I believe there is a free version of the BBC one you can try out before getting the fully loaded one.

I wonder how any of our hearing is holding up. Depending on what side of the stage I was on I would always stuff a hearing protector in the ear closest to the drums, no matter how big the stage was. Those hats in my right ear or the ride cymbal in my left was deafening.  All in all I'd say my overall hearing is almost perfect by taking precautions like this.

My left ear had a premature roll off of my bass frequencies...  Blamed on driving with a car window down.

Up until one audition of a gorilla for a drummer, I had as perfect hearing as their machines could detect (minus the bass loss) well into my mid-40s.  I had a few times where I heard the test being given to another person... The systems weren't isolated enough. Tinnitus is a bitch.

My eyesight used to be great too...  Never given an official "20/10," I did read copyright information from the bottom of the chart a few times too.

People used to hire me to shoot their old and sickly dogs and place them into pre-dug holes. They didn't want to do the vet thing. ONE time I forgot my hearing protection, and the BOOM-BANG of that  303 took out my left ear completely. It eventually recovered but it took the better part of a year.

I am watching the very first James Bond film, Dr. No. The American CIA agent that Bond co-operates with is named Felix Leiter and is played by Jack Lord. As a huge Hawaii Five-O fan, I think Lord was probably the best of the actors to play Felix. The thing is, I am wondering if points should be deducted in a big way due to the cat's eyes sunglasses that he wears.  Question is should Lord take a hit for this leaving perhaps David Hedison in the lead of Leiter's or am I being a total  fan boy in over looking it?
