Bart,  many women see Ryan Gosling as an attractive man. I have tried to look at this with a pragmatic view with no cares or opinions either way, and I still do not see how women find him so irresistible.

IS Ryan Gosling a good looking man? Forget get that he's a Canadian, just answer the question.

@Walks_At_Night Ask your wife.  Perhaps a womans POV is required here.

She said he's awrite but would look much better if he shaved and combed his hair.

Bart,

Have you ever been in an earthquake?  If so what was it like?   I've never experienced one. Not really - when I was a kid one of the salt mines under Detroit collapsed and there was a little rattle. Nothing worse then when your place shakes from a big thunder clap.  I watched this movie called Earthquake where there was a biggie. Looks like it would be an awful experience. The drill seemed to be that when things begin to shake, rattle and roll, you run out into the street shrieking and charge around in a circle. Then a hunk of building snaps off and douches you in the head and you collapse in a bloodied heap. After things calm a bit, Charlton Heston rolls up in his bad ass, '74 Chevy Blazer:

He loads you up and takes you to the make shift hospital in the parking garage. After unloading you, he peels out of there in the Blazer to do more good works.  Unfortunately, one of those aftershock thingy's happen and the parking garage hospital collapses and you get even more mangled.

So on film at least, it looks like it seriously sucks.

Bart,

It was like the ground disappearing from under your feet.
Those who had experienced them before were less impressed.

No idea who he is or how where he was born would matter but if women it is usually because of what the kids call BDE.

Hmm. I personally don't find Ryan Gosling attractive. But if his BDE is not unfounded I may have to reconsider. Nah. Anyone named after a baby goose does not have BDE

Hey  @Walks_At_Night . I grew up in earthquake country. Where several fault lines meet. Including the mighty San Andreas. The best way to describe the feeling is like a giant picked up your house and is shaking it back and forth.  I've been bounced from wall to wall by them. Driven off the road by them. Made seasick by the rolling ones. Seriously. The good news. They never last more than a few minutes. The bad news. The aftershocks can be worse than the original because of structural damage. California requires everything be built to earthquake standards. So an earthquake in a highrise, even six stories, is interesting. The building sways. To this day I still find earthquakes creepy. The solid ground under your feet is not supposed to move like that

I am impressed by his range though, from LaLa Land to Blade Runner and Drive to Ken in Barbie that's a surprisingly good diversity of roles. I did see some saying that him doing this Ken character will kill his career  ;D, but a lot of those comments came before the weekend box office where we found out the movie did their entire budget in 3 days with a total of $162 Million for the weekend

I had a neighbor who had one of those things. It got like 3mpg.  Even worse than my Toyota Land cruiser FJ-40.

At least it cracked the 1MPG mark - figured it was a yards per gallon kind of a rig.

Bart,

What is Cabal HQ like?  Is it a technological, beehive of activity?  Full of hustle, bustle and people with headsets?

Or is it a more civilized affair, with dark wood, comfy leather chairs, a fireplace, cigars and decanters of fine brandy?

Word on the street is it looks like this.
Rent seems to be cheap as chimps, too.

No I did not mean cheap as chips.
