I SAID IN THE FORM OF A QUESTION, WERE YOU SURPRISED THAT BIF NAKED WAS IN THE MR. DRESSUP MOVIE?

Good Lord, son!

I was more surprised that Mr Dressup has a somewhat tasty granddaughter.

As posted before, I just play guitar - I don't know much about the electronic side of things.

Considering swapping the 57 classic neck pickup for a Seymore Duncan. They're both humbucks, so what's the difference?  When compared online it seems like most prefer the classic 57's, but.. I dunno.  All that said, the 57 classics sound awesome..  There are also pickups called Wilkinson's that look identical to SD's and IMO are a bigger more robust sound.

This is an actual legit ASK.

I would invite @sean92008 to the conversation but he's busy dropping a single---coil.

SDs are usually well-researched and heavily tested by endorsers.  Allan Holdsworth is a case in point where they did multiple stages of testing and narrowing down for a finicky tone god like AH.

They'd age pickups by physically smashing them together at varying degrees of pressure.

Wilkinsons are budget pickups that are finding their way as the OEMs for some nice Asian guitars.

I'd I can recall correctly, the classic hard rock combo was a neck 57 with an SD or JB in the bridge.

I'm forgetting what my Hamers had. I'm so far removed, it's foggy.

The Wilkies are indeed budget, but the comparison between them and regular SD's is quite noticeable. I just swapped out the 3-way switch from my Gibsonafied Epiphone Les Paul, and holy 'ell those pups are screamin'! I suspect the previous switch (that replaced the stock switch) was faulty.

The SM Pearly Gates are good but I am with @JUAN and his golf comment.

Have you heard about this new rock/metal singer named Blandini that is sort of being talked about as the next Glen Hughs? Think he's with Lynch Mob at the moment.

Blandini is Jeff Blando's band.
Dumb name, sounds like a magician.

Ahh ok. I even heard Brad Gillis mention him on a podcast. Dude is all over the place. I don't like him singing Dokken songs though.

Bart,

Hypothetical one for you. It is your first date with an internet hottie. At dinner she hammers down 48 oysters. Is it fair play to say that you are going to the bathroom but bolt instead?  This does stick her with a massive bill for 48 devoured mollusks.

What are your thoughts on the My Sharona lead?
What are your thoughts on the Mamma Let Him Play lead?

Both very signature with extremely memorable parts through and through. Doesn't mean that I like them, doesn't mean that I don't like to hear them from time to time.

I lump those two into the same pile

They fit the song.
The first short lead in My Sharona is a slappy mess, though.

First short lead? Hmm. I'll re-listen. The main long lead is perfect IMO. Starts out melodic and begins to blossom from there.
Same with Mamma let that boi

I never hear those songs anymore, but on Canadian radio they would always be on. Even Sharona.. Got so sick of them and the Guess Who, Rush, Kim Mitchel and the horrific "The Hip" that I switched from radio on job sites to Art Bell blasting throughout the premises.

What short lead?
