Is it wrong to take a sick day on my Birthday even if I'm not at all ill in any way? These are use them or lose them days and I still have 3 left to use before the end of October.
Please do not answer with anything like - "You know that it is the wrong thing to do and that you will be practicing in deception if you do it just because you can"
No doubt that @Walks_At_Night has done this many times over the years, maybe.
Back before companies around here combined vacation and sick days to ''paid time off'' I would always use mine. I considered them mental health days - which were beneficial after getting past some heavy deadlines, or just spring fever.
Just tell them you aren't feeling well, no one cares why. I'd always take a couple off, like Friday and Monday, or Mon/Tues, Th/Fri.
