Did you ever do the rental property LANDLORD thing? To be clear, you were the landlord in this scenario. We were for a while and that it took was one shitty tenant/s that made us go the Air-BNB route with that particular house. Once they're in and papers are signed it is soooo hard to get rid of them as you may know.
If the landlord thing applied to you at any time did you ever have any so-called 'nightmare' tenants, and if so please tell the class about it.
When I was 21 I got signed and got a nice advance from the record company and the publishing company.
I used all of it to buy a house in Sherman Oaks thinking I was due another part of the advance about 6 months later.
About 4 months later they fired everyone at the record company and I got dropped.
I ended up renting the house to a couple with 2 young kids.
They stayed in the house for 16 years and never missed a payment.
In an odd coincidence, they told me they were not renewing their lease about a week before I was going to kick 'em out.
I was working on the road for those years and I was a homeless home owner for that entire time.
The condo I bought in NF before leaving is being rented out by a corporate housing company so i don't have to worry about deadbeats.
