Ahh. I'm about 10 minutes in now as Nigel holds up a guitar to compare the weight to that of half a wheel of cheese. So far it's enough to keep me watching. Going in with low expects will be a good thing.

What am I supposed to do with it? it's not like a chicken. It's weird.  Ever had rooster?

I had it last year for the first time that I am aware of.
Somehow I never figured out the coq in Coq Au Vin was rooster.

Wasn't asked but I'll jump in.  Was he a meat bird - like a Cornish Cross?  If so, was he processed before eight weeks?  If both are true, you can roast that dude up just like a hen and you probably won't tell a difference.  If he reached full bloomed Roosterhood he'll be tough and taste odd.  In that case, time for Rooster Noodle Soup.

Had yak in Tibet, that was the only meat I saw at all, they were all vegetarian Buddhists.  It's just a big cow, lean.

She has pre-sliced it to silver dollar (about 1/4") fast/flash fry pieces. I wish it was sliced thicker or not at all. As a roast I could do great things with it.  Literally the redest meat I've ever seen. Looks like red wine.
