I know it's a little lame to talk about your fantasy league... buuut.... I MADE the FINALS of my league lol. I did it in Joe Biden 2020 fashion

My opponent had three Bills players who played Saturday afternoon (QB and WR) and the Bills scored 48 points which meant HUGE points for him. After the Bills game on Saturday I was given less than 25% chance of winning. I thought it was all lost before even any of my players had the chance to get on the field

But my players came through on Sunday and his remaining players were a little below average and I came back and won by 15.

I am so glad they didn't STOP THE COUNT after Saturday's game  ;D

Don't say such things!  @Walks_At_Night   ;)   I've always had a fondness for the Lions ever since they drafted Billy Sims.  They do seem to have a curse on them.  They had lot of talent over the years.  It just seems there's always something missing though.  Had a slew of shitty head coaches too.  Who was the last decent one?  Wayne Fontes?

Oh I'll say it. There are too many teams. League would probably be much better off with 4 less. Lions have to go [obviously], Chargers can't draw flies [gone], 'Skins or whatever [mercy killed] and the Browns 2.0 [Cleveland.  Ick. Outta here].

Lions head coaches? Caldwell was decent in a C+ kind of a way. I think Bobby Ross was a solid head coach - he just made some bad draft choices and finally could not handle the lackadaisical Lions "culture" and fled. Gary Moeller I think was a decent head coach, as long as he stayed off the Wild Turkey but he got Millen purged. Fontes was a nightmare - blessed with Barry Sanders, so let's go with a run and shoot offense to give him as little help as humanely possible.  ::)   Bottom line, Buddy Parker was probably the last really good Lions coach. You just have to go back to the Eisenhower presidency to find him.  ;)

Hahaha, gosh some of these players are stupid.  What this guy can't waste his money fast enough, so he's putting the rest in Bitcoin?  If this isn't a signal we're at the top of the Bitcoin market, I don't know what would be.

The Bills had another convincing win last Sunday night.  Of course, they were playing the defunct Patriots so it was also an easy win.  Got to see Belichick throw a phone down in disgust and that was fun.  Then Newton got replaced with a backup quarterback, and here lies a great hypocrisy with professional football.  Picture yourself being hired to back up a team's primary quarterback.  You are payed millions to be ready to step in at a moments notice and yet, by and large, you aren't needed for an entire year, or years.  Then, when the time finally comes, you enter the game and run plays right up the middle or throw short passes that rarely meet their mark.  And yet millions of bucks will continue to come your way.  Of course there are exceptions like Tony Romo, but somehow I get the impression that good backup quarterbacks are as rare as hen's teeth.

Spot on regarding backup QB's.  Aside from exceptions like Tony Romo, there was also Tom Brady taking the reigns after Drew Bledsoe's injury.  He never looked back after that.

Using Brady as an example was perfect, Shay.  And then we have ex Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton, who was paid 7 mil. to back up the Dallas Cowboy's Dak Prescott.  I'd like to see him do good.  Is there ever a goofier looking quarterback or is it his butt-ugly hairstyle?  Still, I can't help but like the guy.

Assuming the Jaguars are intentionally tanking, Mike Glennon has been the perfect backup quarterback.

Phillip Rivers=hen's tooth backup?  Certainly not a HOF guy, but he's not doing too shabby for an old guy.

I wish the Rams well but they certainly had too many injuries during that game.  Their next opponent won't be known until after tomorrow.

As a Packer fan I would still feel more comfortable playing The Bears than the Rams

That Colts-Bills game was great, that Colts coach did some bad decisions that cost his team.

How bad did Heinicke look by the end of the game last night? He looked like he was totally shellshocked but soldiered on. Pretty brilliantly. His teammates were literally holding him up for a minute after some plays until his eyes unglazed.  Today he has to feel like like the Tampa Bay Express ran over him. Again and again. He deserves some kind of trophy.

I will tell you guys a little story. Tigerlily was a bit of a tomboy growing up. My grade school went up to eighth grade and we always had a daily tag football game going. Of course it usually turned into tackle. I was usually right in the middle of it. When we came back to school after summer break to start eigth grade I noticed the boys had gotten really tall! While I had stayed petite. What the heck! But of course I went right back out to tag. Well. It wasn't long before I got tagged (tackled), fell on the football and broke a rib. That was the end of TigerLily's football career. I think I kind of felt like Heineke looked but without all the medical support

And surprise! Tommy continues on in the playoffs. That man needs to leave his body to science

This was the weirdest season ever by far. Really hard on the players. Replacements coming out to replace replacements. Lots of rehab this season. But I have to admit I loved how quiet it was. You could hear everything the players said and especially the quarterback calls. Added a really interesting dimension
