It’s hilarious to listen to the Gator Homers on Jacksonville sports talk radio.  The idea of the Jaguars taking a Georgia player first has them apoplectic.

The majority of the talking heads here wanted QB, Kenny Pickett from Pitt.  Now they are complaining about it, saying they should've traded up for that monster DL (Davis) from Georgia or a WR.    However some are happy about the pick, as am I.

Baalke is well hated.
Walker is 6’5” and 272-lbs. He ran the 40 at the combine in 4.51. I don’t see how he doesn’t have the measurable.  What he doesn’t have are quarterbacks. Georgia, however created a new defense a few years ago that emphasizes gap control by the defensive linemen.  It allows them to stop the run with only the three linemen and a couple of linebackers.  Thus, none of the Georgia linemen had many sacks.  There’s speculation the NFL will be moving to something similar.

I was surprised at that pick.  Also, that the Jags traded up to grab LB-Devin Lloyd.  I think he's a good fit and will be better than Myles Jack...now a member of my team.

The reach of the first round had to be the Pats taking Cole Stange out of Chattanooga.  They probably could have gotten him as late as the third, maybe fourth, round.

I read a few weeks ago the NFL will no longer be administering the Wonderlic at the combine after this year.  The way the article was worded, I got the impression individual teams could still give it if they so desired, however.

The Pats have a knack for finding diamonds in the rough.  I was very surprised at that pick.

I never looked into, or took a Wonderlic test.  Since you mentioned it I searched for a free online version.  I scored a 29.  I don't even know if that's good.

5 — Ed Prather (safety)
4 — Darren Davis (running back)

CB's?  Huh.  That's interesting.  Do you think the Wonderlic is useful for an NFL prospect, and do they prep for it?  I just took it for fun and didn't know what to expect.  I also learned that a punter had the highest score.

I also scored a point higher than Russell Wilson and Drew Brees.    Being that I like quizzes and tests, I may take it a dozen more times.

You can't really prep for it, other than practicing taking similar tests.It's not like you can cram for it.

The Wonderlic is like many other data points used by NFL teams in evaluating talent, very important to some teams, insignificant to others.
