Roark is signed to the Jaguar practice squad. Probably the best thing for his with Petersen coaching quarterbacks.

@JUAN I don't know enough about the background NFL shuffling's and protocol. I assume that's a good thing? The practice squad? ESPN isn't showing anything until 9/10 so I'm in the dark until then.

Yes, a good thing.  As the preseason went along it became clear he doesn't really understand NFL offenses and this will give him a chance to learn.

It is a good thing in that he is still playing ball and getting paid to do so. $12k a week for 18 weeks.  It would have been better if another team plucked him off of waivers and put them on the roster. Then he'd have a shot at getting in a real game. That just happened where the Panthers cut QB Matt Corral and the Patriots claimed him and put himon their main roster.  I'm no expert but your guy looks more interesting than Corral to me. Patriots certainly need QB help.

Hmm  He should have stayed in BC. Half the money up north, but he'd be playing instead of sitting. I would rather he didn't go to the Pats.

Yeah, hopefully he'll learn.

I think he can. He has the problem a lot of young, athletic quarterbacks have.  When he feels pressure he starts grinning around rather than staying in the pocket.  He's phenomenally accurate with his passes.

You make a certain point, and it's a good one. A lot of the CFL QB's (even veterans) tend to do that. It was once explained to me why CFL QB's have a tendency to do so. It has something to do within the CFL game itself, but I cannot recall what I was told as it was many years ago.  If that is his only problem, I think you're right. He'll figure it out sooner than later I suspect. And being young in the NFL game from the CFL would be a factor I would think. Boy needs to get his learn on!

After the Lions wasted Calvin Johnson's career, I swore them off. Life was good. Mama Ford finally hired a GM that isn't a lunatic nor an idiot and lo and behold there is hope. I'll admit that they have suckered me in. Watched the whole game. They looked pretty solid. It won't end well of course but I've bought my one way ticket to midnight.

That defense really tightened up when it needed to.  KC made too many mistakes.  I live right smack in the middle of Chiefs Nation and I can tell you as an Eagles fan,  it is nice to see the KC fanbase served a piece of blue and silver humble pie.  You guys have really got something good with that head coach.  Onward to the next game!

I didn't watch the game, but weren't there quite a few drops - including one that deflected for an interception.

Did any of that affect the outcome in a very tight game, i.e. should we wait and see on the Lions, because, you know, Lions?

Yeah, KC had several drops. That pick 6 made the difference.  The Lions defense looked good in the red zone too.
