Thanks, PB, I mixed both the teams and the quarterbacks up! Yeah, Baltimore...they do look pretty strong, and Lamar is a much better quarterback than Hurts.

Same city, different bird.

For a moment there I thought you were time traveler John Titor and was communicating with us from last years SuperBowl  ;)

Ha, no...To be honest with you, I can never remember who won the last Super bowl or World Series for that matter.  Happily, I can remember the last World Cup winner.  Messi and the Argentina team over France.  And France was the winner four years before that, but please don't ask me who they beat.  That little bit of information is long gone with the wind.

Harbaugh to Chargers. Good fucking luck. Their owners are goddamn motherfuckers.

True that. They will eat him up and spit him out just like they have so many coaches and players

The local talk show boys are already lining up scapegoats in case the 49ers lose to the Lions.  The rankings seem to be, in order, CD Wilkes, HC Shanahan, QB Purdy.

As far as I'm concerned, as soon as the clock shows 0:00, whether it's Sunday or in two weeks, win or lose, the DC should be fired.

As of today there doesn't seem to be any hate for Detroit.  Not like there is for Dallas, LA, Philly, or Seattle.

Well good. We are very nice you know. The Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois people hate us but that's only natural.

Probably for the same reason no one hated the Cubs all those years, lol.  Plus Goff grew up here and played for Cal.

I mostly listen to sportstalk radio when I'm driving, some Lions fan called in and said our stadium would have a ton of Detroit fans and they'd be loud.

The shock wave of a Detroit win appears to be an average of about 8.5 out of 10.  Everyone's feeling confident despite the last convincing show by the defense being Week 13 against Seattle.

The old train station in Detroit is all ready to go for the game. It had been abandonded for decades and headed for demolition when Ford bought it and saved it. Opens in a few months with some of Ford engineering moving in.

I keep hearing this is the biggest game in Detroit sports history.

It seems like a case of recency bias.  I get that the NFL is the most popular game in town in most places, but that wasn't always the case.  I'm no expert on Detroit sports history, but I remember several NBA championships, a couple times the Tigers won the World Series, and quite a few Stanley Cups.  It's been awhile and I can see how the youngest fans would think that.  If the 9ers weren't in it, I'd be for the Lions too, and would be for them if they somehow win today and move on.
