I have barely seen the Niners play this year. Some disagreement between the provider and local San Diego DirecTV CBS affiliate. Someone finally blinked just two weeks ago. The only player I recognize is George Kittle The Unstoppable. I don't even know Brock Purdy.
I'm thinking the Chiefs will win but I just hope it is a scary close hard fought bloody good show. Uh, who invited Usher? I think it's time for some Metal Thrash during Halftime. Or Taylor Swift (voice enhanced)

The 49ers have something like eight of the highest paid players at their position.  Other than Kittle you may remember guys like Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, Fred Warner, Trent Williams, Nick Bosa, Chase Young from previous years or maybe college ball.

As far as the SB, I've seen very few of them.  Even when I was a sports nut and watched tons of games, by the time we got to the playoffs and SB I was tired of football.  New Year's Day, Superbowl Sunday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are the four absolute best days of the year to go hiking / mountain biking - non-summer days when even the cold weather folks are inside doing other things.  I've seen all the SBs the 49ers played in though.

Anyway, as far as Usher, won't see it.  I've been sucked back into watching a few FB games here and there last year and this year, I record them and start watching maybe an hour after the start, if not that evening, buzzing past all the commercials and non-action talking from the ''analysts''.  It's great, I can rewind and watch certain plays as many times as I want.  For the SB make that an hour and a half or two hours.

Yes. Of course all those guys came back to me as soon as I saw them again. I have a DVR so I watch games like you do. Zip past commercials, overlong commentary, halftime analysis. Even a full quarter when warranted. And of course can replay a replay if I want. Makes for a much more enjoyable game. I also have a no chatting rule during games. I am a football Nazi. I would be bereft after the season is over but ole what's-his-name-turned me on to the CFL. Very enjoyable. Has a mom and apple pie feeling to the games. But then on my stations the games started to get pre-empted by high school games and bowling. That was not nice 😾

Nazi can be used as an expression for an uncommon, unhealthy obsession which may be dangerous to self or others.  I am a football Nazi one day a year. Others can be political Nazis when they have fallen.under the sway of a criminal con man, like Hitler, and are willing to do his bidding even if it endangers themselves, their fellow citizens and go against the very fabric of the Constitution

But enough about Shmo, are you looking forward to the winning QB shouting something about going to Disneyland?

The 2 week lag between the conference championship games and the SB is well intentioned, but should really be done away with.  Any momentum the teams had is lost, but the worst part is all those reporters running out of ideas.

One of these people, trying to get the big scoop, decided to ask the 49er QB if he'd heard the rumors that he looks like Lee Harvey Oswald.  She has the right instincts, her future in media looks bright.

Yeah, whose bright idea was it for two weeks for Superbowl coverage?  Can we get back to something more relevant, like who's relatives have DUIs?
