I finally, FINALLY got to watch the Chiefs Bills game and avoided all the spoilers. As far as I am concerned that was the Superbowl. I thought it was pretty much a done deal but then that last touchdown by the Bills I thought best case overtime. But the Chiefs could not be denied. I was jumping around like an idiot

The city isn't good enough for TV ratings. The fix is in. Coast to Coast AM was probably the first national outlet to promote that concept, don't you think?

Yeah but would have maybe made a nice story. They have never been to the Super Bowl and haven't been to a championship game since the 50's.   They had 22 guys on defense go on the IR this year.  Heavy stuff too - two guys with snapped legs, a guy with a busted jaw and another with an arm break.  So there is that, on the other hand Goff played horrible in that playoff game and the "brilliant" OC made a bunch of asinine play calls and then promptly quit.

Too bad the Rams are in the same division. That would have been a great matchup in a super bowl.

I wish Bobby Ross would have won everything when he was coaching the Lions. I'm not googling it, but didn't Barry Sanders quit at that point?

It's just as well, apparently KC gets to bring their own refs to playoff games

Well, Tom Brady did get to bring his own balls... Nothing to see there...

Sanders retired during Ross' tenure.  Don't think it was related.  The Lions let a number of good players go at that point and Sanders saw no path to success, he had more money than one could spend and he could still walk so he made the right choice.

Sad story, wife died, probably suicide or indulgence, maybe some survivor's guilt, but...

New Orleans is an interesting place... I had an interesting experience with a hotel worker once. Got a tour of all the "reality."

Looking like suicide. His last social media post was this, a tribute to his dead wife...

Woman caught with his credit card.

Maybe he did her, felt guilty and suicided...  Humm. Still a sad story.

Sooo...

I have a preference for Roku TV as an operating system. It's less invasive on the privacy stuff, I don't have to log into things using my email, etc.

Using a VPN and not signing in, I can watch YouTube videos anonymously, the advertising geared towards that app is sometimes quite humorous. Sometimes, I feel bad for the people paying for the ad because it is wildly unusable and it's usually a small business not even in the location of the VPN IP.

I have inundated with Tubi ads for the free super bowl watch on my normally rather passive Roku system. I used an anonymized email and signed up. Whoever is producing this pregame show is a fucking idiot.

The pregame hostesses, mini dresses and all, are completely inaudible because they've told the crowd to be loud.

I am not good with this production level. I've seen better quality out of a high school video production crew. Funny enough, one of my acquaintances here in North San Diego County has actually done audio work for a major network during a super bowl. We have been commiserating about this shitshow this morning.

One thing that has been impressed upon me is that a lot of the graphics and imagery of New Orleans, and its French influence, for all the super bowl logo stuff from Fox looks like psychedelic stuff from the '60s.  Humm.
