Speaking of drums, everybody should know by now, I think Ringo Starr is an asshole.  Buddy Rich is one too.

The singer doubles up his vocal track in the chorus. Production tips ;)

Fucking Goutube -   ::)
Every time I allow requests from EG to YT it eats up all my RAM and locks my browser.  >:(

Anyway. has anyone else heard the new WHO single ? (I can't see if it was posted without allowing requests to Goutube)
They've been playing it on the radio quite a bit since its release.
They sound pretty damn good, considering their age.
In fact, I don't think there's been any voice degradation from Roger, which is pretty damn impressive for a 75 Y.O. .
They do sound  like they did in the 70's.    :)

Since Pete Townshend has ties to the San Diego arts scene (the production of Tommy debuted here in the area before going off to Broadway and winning all sorts of awards) he spent a little extra time here they did two shows and Pete made some appearances outside of the band.  There was some coverage in the local media but I failed to follow up on their mention of a new album

I'm heading over now to check it out, thanks!

Sounds very amateurish and dumbed down to me.  But what do I know.

Hehehe.

It reminds me of what McCartney has done to get attention, basically ripping off his old stuff.

When McCartney released NEW, the heavily pushed song was something that any number of Beatle-styled bands could have written. Using sounds and progressions of the day. That's all this was for The Who. From what I've heard in the press, this is truly their goodbye.  I want my money back from that concert I went to, what was it 1981? I also want my time back, I spent all night in that goddamn San Diego stadium parking lot to buy tickets. THEY OWE ME!

Here is that McCartney song...

Eh, nevermind...

It's a shame that the last few years of his life, Pat DiNunzio (I did not Google the name, if I fucked it up, sorry!) couldn't play guitar anymore. I know that feeling of losing something to a lesser extent. It must have been awful for him.
