Wildcats, Vindicators, Helldivers and whatever the F3F was called - all taking a beating.  A painful view:

Very cool.  There are a series of videos showing the Royal Navy destroying untold numbers of Seafires landing aboard their carriers.  The Seafire was a bitch to deck land due to their narrow undercarriage and long nose, and being a derivative of the Spitfire they were not all that robust.  British carriers were also smaller than US carriers. The Brits lost far more Seafires to landing accidents than they did enemy action. Beautiful airplane, but not suited to carrier ops.

A few days, maybe a week, before the Russian invasion, I followed a Ukrainian An-24's flight to Nellis AFB on one of the flight tracking apps. I've been watching that specific a/c ever since, it's flying in and out of a Romanian airport called  Constana.  Until today, it destinations were not cited. As we can see below, however, it flew to a French airfield near the Spanish border today.

I wonder what they’re moving around.

Doubt it's wine or cheese.

Pau sounds familiar to me.  Possibly used as a staging point for smuggling arms into Spain during the Spanish Civil War, or as a waypoint for the Underground getting downed aircrew out of occupied France into Spain in WW2.  I'll have to look that up if I have time.

I think we (and obviously the Russians) know where that secret Eastern European airfield is.

Yep.  I wonder when the Russians will concentrate on knocking out any vehicle suspected of transporting that equipment in the Ukraine.  I wonder if the dominoes will start to fall with a Russian strike on that “secret” airfield.

Ukraine needs an international volunteer "Flying Tigers" air force, now!!
Brave retired and active fighter pilots could resign from their country's air force and join Ukraine's volunteer Flying Tigers Air Force. Western countries could donate/sell their planes, support arms and equipment to Ukraine's Flying Tigers all volunteer air force.  Of course  would also need to set up a secure airport inside Ukraine.

All donated/purchased planes,  equipment and uniforms would have the  insignia of the  "Flying  Tigers" all volunteer air force.

Please pass this idea along

Great channel on YouTube. Some of their shots are so locked in it doesn’t even look real.

I was trout fishing on a mountain stream when two F-15’s came tearing up the river valley just above the treetops.  Quite an impressive sound.

I used to bass fish on a lake called Toledo Bend. Two different trips I had multiple A-10s come buzzing over the treetops and pivot around my boat and others as if they had found “targets of opportunity”. As jets go, they didn’t have the roar of an F-15 but it can be a bit unsettling when you’re looking down the barrel of a gattling gun. You really couldn’t hear them approaching from behind if the shoreline was covered in southern pines.
Are we having fun yet?
