Ok now that avatar doesn't work at all. Your blocks are messed up for one.
What!?
I'm not going to have my av be "girl in a thong" so don't ask.
There was a little girl,
            Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
            When she was good,
            She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

As a fashion illiterate, this reminded me of the britches in this thread.

Can you imagine?
Here's a fun snippet of what to expect of 1920s era women's bathing attire taken from Victoriana.com: http://www.victoriana.com/Fashion/1920s/vintageswimsuit.html
Women’s 1920s vintage bathing suits came in several contrasting colors. Styles included two-piece swimsuits consisting of jersey shirts and Vintage Swim suit flannel trousers. Also available were satin bathing frocks with attached wool jersey knickers and wool jersey bathing frocks to be worn over one-piece swimsuits. Also worn were rubberized silk hats, cross-stitched jersey head-bands, and satin bathing slippers.

That outfit on the right is rather unfortunate!

Apparently, women weren't the only ones wearing a lot of wool to the beach. According to Vintage Dancer, men's and women's swimwear were very similiar and would remain so until the mid 20s: https://vintagedancer.com/1920s/1920s-swimsuits/

These sneeks are about to get banned.  ???
They are ugly, but supposed to improve your efficiency by 2-4%
And they are in line with the neon that is trending for Spring/Summer 2020!

My mom used to buy a package that contained paper patterns for making a dress, separately pick out the cloth she wanted from an assortment of bolts, have a piece cut from the bolt, use the patterns to cut the cloth into pieces, and sew the pieces together.  Do people still do this?

Oh yes! Patterns and good fabric have gotten rather expensive so for it still works for women's wear but not really for kids clothing since they'll grow out of it. I have a 1930's dress pattern (no fabric yet) on my sewing table right now and a coat pattern that I have purchased fabric for but not cut yet.

Someone gave me one of these trees many years ago! My son became rather attached to it when he was around 3 and would pack it all over the house with him.  ;D

I've been looking at some of the Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2020 Looks this weekend and Valentino caught my eye. I'm loving his jewel tones. He had two silhouettes going: column and mermaid, well I guess you could say three because there were some trumpet shaped gowns in there two but that's really just splitting hairs.

This pantsuit caught my eye especially. The oversized bows are a bit of a throwback and I'm loving the color and repeat of the black bows!

Check out the bows at the cuffs- I love this detail. Trigger warning: ShayP DO NOT look at the toes you will not like what you see.
