I have lettuce, it is stored safely in the fridge. There are sharp machines in the garage. One may or may not be a table saw. There is no downstairs. There is no upstairs. In this house I mean.

I have a thing for historical fashion. I spend a lot of time on things like corsetry/stays and undergarments of bygone eras. This video is in that same vein and is a fun video about women's undergarments for the victorian era. A lot of times people don't realize how much stuff woman of that time period were actually wearing. Having the correct underpinnings are really important to make garments look correct within a specific time period. I especially like this because it shows you how bustles and hoops work.

Here's another video that shows how a ladies maid helping an 18th Century woman get dressed. It's 100 years prior to the Victorian woman and while a bit simpler in undergarment structure - they relied on a conical corset and a hip roll to shape themselves in this version- there's still a lot of layers. I really like this too because you see the proper way to use a stomacher which movies and costumes almost always get wrong.

Modern corsetry goes way beyond wearing stays as undergarments and can be much more fun and beautiful! But much less functional depending on what you're going for  I tried to find pieces that weren't just chicks in their underwear.
