As a random side note Knowing that most women where literally sewn into their gowns I always think of Marilyn Monroe who it is said did the same thing but for rather different reasons. I suppose some things never really change!

I've also always crushed on the costumes in Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. It's 1920s/30s gorgeousness! I haven't seen the movie yet but I bet the costumes are aaaaamazing!!!  :)

The costumer seems to do a great job of staying with what would be available and fashionable in the era. No darts!

She always wears great hats- she rocks the cloche like no one else. I know others aren't big on this style but it's one of my favs! And she has wonderful coats/jackets. And pants! I know trousers were still a little fashion forward for woman but I LOVE it!! And gloves- oh the kid leather this chick rocks is beautiful. Ok, I may have a thing for gloves...but I digress.

These hats are ok, it's the ones that cling to the head and don't flair out at least on the ends that aren't attractive
