Kind of like Dave I had this special relationship with my grandfather on my mother's side. But he apparently had a dark side. He did not have a good relationship with his wife, my grandmother, nor his kids. but I only had good memories with him. And like dave, I did not find out until after his death this other stuff. Funny thing is I would smell lucky strikes after he died. I do not smoke. But my grandfather smoked them like candy. I always associated lucky strikes with him. Crazy. Still hard for me to deal with what others say he was like. I loved him and adored him.
