It could be the reason that space aliens havn't contacted us that a lot of people just can't give up the idea of utopia. Look for a "peoples utopia" and I'll show you piles upon piles upon piles of human bones.
A large pile of bones seem to be a feature of all utopias for some reason and do you really think these space aliens want us to kill each other in conehead quantities?
I think not.
It's a great idea but there will never be a utopia, aka heaven on earth, on well, on earth.
