Both are quality. Coach was pretty darn good when he was coaching College and kinda fell  when he went Pro and 80s Newhart was fun as well

I got a bit of a dilemma, I don't like rejecting gifts but somebody gifted me a Box Set of one of my favorite series BUT that series is in full on one of my regular streaming services. So I am not sure if I should tell them, I have been kinda getting out of DVD's because streaming is such a better option without the clutter of the boxes. They said they did keep the recipt if needed

I'd hang on to it. What if streaming service A goes under?

If music plays any role in the show you may want to keep the box set, many shows have to replace the music originally in an episode because streaming did not exist so was not part of the deal.

If you're a purist, eh, keep.

Episodes may get cancelled or altered. I still hate the font that they used on The X-Files remaster.
Eh, nevermind...

@Zetaspeak Yeah you're in a bit of a pickle with a physical box-set.  Can you put it in a closet, in the back, way in the back? I don't know how sensitive the gifter is. If it helps, I have the complete box sets of;
ER
CSI (original)
Mad Men
Friday Night Lights
Newhart
Mom
Corner Gas
The Hills
Seinfeld
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Survivor
Quincy ME
Breaking Bad
Ray Donavan
Boston Legal
Cheers
Bob Newhart Show
Coach
And about 9 others that I am forgetting without going to look.
These are full mint condition box sets stacked nicely in a large huge (wardrobe) box in my walk-in closet. I see the fucker every day.

Yeah.. as posted before I tried to get into it but just couldn't. I hated the brother character who sat around in the darkened house as well as a few other things. I actually gave it two full seasons... never tried that hard to like a series, ever.

Kind of like me and Ray Donovan. Just couldn't get jump started.

REAL SMART ADVICE everyone, the streaming service the very next month removed it from their library of shows.

Concluded Ted Lasso Season 1 and that turned out very good and I definitely understand the hype & lived up to it and Hannah Waddingham might be my favorite woman in entertainment and that's a whole lot of woman, so much so that I gathered everyone around to watch her apple tv Christmas special

Anyone got Apple TV? I've just got a three months free subscription but I can't think of anything to watch. I've seen Slow Horses and Severance but is there anything else worth looking at? There's something called 'Masters of Air' but I don't know anything about it.

If I had Apple TV, I'd definitely check out the movie "Greyhound". Destroyers on convoy duty in the North Atlantic - my Old Man spent most of his war doing exactly that.  Tom Hanks is the DD skipper - probably way too old for the role but what the heck.

Masters is another series about the war.  In the vein of Band of Brothers and The Pacific but the subject is the US 8th Air Force based in the U.K.  I've not seen it but have heard mixed things about it.

I think Apple also has the Catch 22 mini-series - again haven't seen it but the casting looks odd. Plus like all these film adaptations seem to do, they drop Chief Halfoat. Which sucks. He's one of my faves.

Oh, yes, I remember seeing that on the site. I'll definitely have a look at that, thanks. When I saw what they were planning to do to Catch-22 I lost interest. The odds were highly against them making anything good anyway, but taking out some of the characters isn't going to help much. I suppose it was for political reasons they elbowed him. Because he's Red.

He's Red but he's awesome. Turns Flume from an extrovert into an introvert and eventually drives him into the woods.

I always liked Major De - Coverley, whose only duties were pitching horseshoes, kidnapping Italian labourers and renting apartments for the soldiers on leave.
