Chicken is ok, but those birds are not treated great. I mostly eat vegetarian and I love pork. Growing up we raised our own beef and game birds and we hunted so meat was always plentiful and well taken care of. My dad hates chickens so we hardly ever had that growing up. I didn’t buy meat at a grocery until well into my adulthood. Maybe I was ruined by good fortune?

Ruined?  No. Spoiled? Maybe.
Are we having fun yet?

I know that all too well. The bar was set waaaay to high when you were a kid and there's no way that shit meat from Safeway or wherever will ever compare. I raised and shot my bull, Adam. It was sad, but Adam was gooooood :'(

Exactly.

Monsanto and factory farms have been the death of edible food. I'm eating basically organic

kids never want to get rid of their first 4H calf. Then they see the $$$ and are like- I'll get a new calf.

Glad it was your fault, @Rikki Gins , and not mine. When I was in college I worked at Sears part time for a couple of years. I had a bad attitude. Lots of eyerolls and dramatic sighs. I worked in, get this, Customer Service. I might not have killed Sears (thank you, Rikki) but I probably helped put it on life support

I'm glad my curse didn't go into effect while you were still working there.  Eyerolls and sighs aside, I bet you looked really cute trying to help the customers with their problems.

Organic ≠ Non-GMO, right?
Eh, nevermind...

Food processing companies are worse, look at all the boxed, bottled, canned, and frozen crap people buy at the supermarket

Jim Breuer's bit on working at Sears in the paint department is really funny if you have never heard it:

Organic ≠ Non-GMO, right?

"The use of genetic engineering, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs), is prohibited in organic products.". USDA 2017
