I thought I had cool toys in the 70's but these are great.  Kids nowadays, at least I think, don't "play guns" or army anymore but my friends and I would've had a blast back in the day.  (no pun intended)   

I grew up in a small “Leave it to Beaver”-type town.  We had a blast, playing army with Tommy guns, bazookas, cap hand grenades, etc.  Nowadays, some pussy neighbor would call the cops and a SWAT team would show up and massacre everyone.

Ha!  I remember my friend, the rich kid.  Every toy you could imagine.  He had this cool Remco submarine. It would fire ICBMs and torpedos. We were ready to take on the red menace!

Yep.  I can't remember the last time I saw kids throwing a ball around, riding bikes, or doing anything for that matter.  It may sound lame, but is 'hide and seek' a thing anymore?  Tag?  I just don't see kids playing. 

I'm not that old.  I'm 50.  From what I've seen over the years, there is no life in neighborhoods anymore.  At least those I've lived in over the last 15+ years.

My friends and I would play football in the street.  I grew up in the inner city.  The only thing you had to do was yell "CAR!"  Sidewalks were out of bounds and the telephone poles were the goal lines.  Ah...memories.

My brothers and I used to get into BB gun fights with kids who lived on the next street.  Night time of course, and you really couldn't see all that well if there wasn't a streetlight handy.  It was fun to blast away though, even if it was dark.  A BB hit me in the temple once.  Nobody ever lost an eye.

I’ll have to admit the late 50’s and the 60’s had some really great stuff to play with.  Remco gadgets, Mattel guns, even ones that actually shot cap propelled projectiles, plus machine guns, even bazookas! 

Back when the only busybodies were the little old ladies that lived down the block.

Now snowflakes come in all ages - many exactly alike..
