I may have told you this one before...

Sometime in the early 2000's I found myself in a conversation with him.
He told me he was going to have knee surgery after his tour ended and then he was headed to Africa... because that's where the knee grows.

If you did, I've forgotten it.  Real nice guy, huh?

Any Joan Jett encounters? Often have wondered if she was a nice person or a raging wench.

I snuck in a club to see her when I was 14.
I waited around for her outside at the backstage door after the show.
She came out and got into the waiting car.
I remember it was cold, maybe early March.
She rolled down the window and asked me if I would like to come in and warm up a little.
She signed my ticket and talked to me for a good 10-15 minutes.
Then, as we said goodbye, she touched it... it was over jeans but she touched it.
She would have no idea that I was 14 since you had to be 18 to get in so touching it was fine.
Yup.
A bit of a rub over jeans but it counts.
She said, "Oh you do like me!" and smiled as she did it.
Didn't seem to have her change teams or anything but sure gave YB (Young Bart) a story.

With toothpaste, I usually buy whatever's on sale, within reason.  I figure it's mostly all the same thing, and with marketing departments vying for shelf space we end up with about 300 different items to choose from.

Anyway, I'm about out of toothpaste, pick some up from the store, and end up with a box that says ''natural white with coconut derived charcoal''.  Ok fine.  Last night I open it for the first time, put a bit on the toothbrush, and it's black.  So they went with ''natural'' instead of bleaching it or coloring it.  Hell, they probably added coloring to make it uniformly black.

Anyway, turns out I close my eyes when I brush my teeth.  Didn't realize I was doing that.  I lean over the sink, open my eyes, and spit it out.  Let's just say in that situation no one wants to see a sink full of black stuff that came out of one's mouth.  And then look in the mirror and see dribbles of black toothpaste on one's chin.

Chrissakes, I'm not sure this is going to catch on.

Too late, trend jumpers pimped it out for years and are now done with it.

My dentist said there will be the "did you buy charcoal toothpaste" class action lawsuit commercials in a few years when people realize it took the enamel off... probably right after the "did you take Ozempic" commercials and right before the Camp Lejeune commercials which will still be running.

Falkie is also an eye closer...

Jeez, I'm throwing it out - thanks!

I wonder what's on sale this week.
