So he decided he had to split his ideal-wife role into three:  Karen for mothering, Airyn for wifing, and Heather for flattery and intellectual stimulation oh god I can't even say that with a straight face
Well you know he did do that whole polyamorous thing so maybe he just likes things compartmentalized?

Edited for a second thought:
Could this be a Madonna/Whore complex thing?

Edited: @Richard Groyper @GravitySucks you two honoring brig today? That's amusing.

I didn't get the impression that Brig had any fond feelings for Ellgab.
I don't think I am wrong.

Excellent!  Can we call it Gaia/Madonna/Whore to get Karen in there?  That's it; he couldn't handle the paradox, and came up with his own novel solution.

Let's do it kdubb. They are just words anyway, right? Plus one for the intellectual stimulation.

yes. Karen was his intellectual sounding board, Airyn was his caregiver, Heather was his cheerleader and shared his common interests.

Oh yeah Karen works better in that role.  And each of them neophytes to their tasks, so he could shape them as required.  Man, that guy had it together.

I'm exhausted thinking about three women at once.

It takes a firm hand on the reins.  I'm surprised he didn't have Heather change her name to Sharon or something so he could have a matched set.

Speaking of, I was amused to hear in the MITD aftershow last Friday that Art was known for insisting people answer his calls, exactly what people thought was so horrible about Hoagie.
