As I recall it also wasn't the youthful Maid-cum-Mistress of "Gaslight" but the "Murder, She Wrote" era stuff....
In my home state they recently passed a law that requires ammo purchasers to join a registry. Handloading provides me the out, except for rimfire. And until prices skyrocketed, I really liked .22 Long Rifle as a cartridge.
Punt guns are still legal I think but you can't, at least in most places, use them for the original purpose. But maybe should be considered for border usage? Kidding, of course.
Damn. That sucks but I can see something like that happening soon. Look for also various "environmental" reasons to curb gun rights and price-out, or even ban, ammo. .22LR is one of the best ever. Versatile and cheap (well, these days cheapER. More poaching and mob-hits been done with that than most others. Not that I am FOR or ADVOCATE poaching or mob killings!!
I think in the USA, punt guns are very few and strictly regulated by los Federales.
Open lines tonight. Just saw this posted in a group
Not great home defense though. You'd be better off with a shotgun and a flashlight. And in a vehicle you need a handgun. Depends on the purpose.I'm pro conceal carry so I'm probably in the minority.
I think USE (due to Federal and various State but especially FED) regulations of water-fowl hunting illegal but still ok to own or use for fun. You can have a cannon, so why not a punt gun? Also many, might also be not considered a Federally controlled firearm due to age?
She's doubling down today on how they don't want her talking about art but she will anyway.
