Cookies are biscuits yes.
Crackers are what you would have with cheese here
Your biscuits are our scones
Your fries are our chips
Crisps for us are chips for you :)

Once you scratch the surface it’s very much a different language :)

Duck. It's not too hard to find, I don't think. The legs look weird to me though, but I've never had duck.

Really? Kamo or aigamo is actually delicious!! and easily available at any good restaurant in Tokyo, of which there are many, including little shops and stands! Try it, you might like it, with a bit of the hot yellow mustard they serve with it and it's sauce. Lovely! And btw I'm not generally a fan of duck, but done Japanese style, it's really good!

It was like a turkey roll sort of with stuff in the middle. About 3" around an 7" long. (Not me, the turkey roll*). It actually wasn't too bad. You can't think "turkey" when eating it. It is more like a meat loaf type of thing but not meat.

*Edit: I'm actually much bigger.

LOL! You seem to be recovering from your dismal Thanksgiving meal quite well, Bobs! +1

He had leftovers before any food was cooked.

Oh no I didn't!!

Oh, I can't believe you did that, Anniem! I was about to reply that he had the leftovers BEFORE the meal but thought better of it so didn't. I guess great minds can cruise the gutter together too, eh? LOL!

I have never been able to wear nail polish, my nails feel like they're suffocating. I'd like to wear clear polish, but it makes me crazy after an hour or so. Very weird, I have no idea why.  ???

Weird hack I learned on the interwebs: brush your nails with a toothbrush and a little toothpaste. I was curious enough to try it. Works great! I think better than clear nail polish or a buffer. Honest!

I didn't get the pill bug question either, although we had them growing up.

They asked me the firefly question, although I've never seen one.

whaaaa? I've got to try this.
There was a little girl,
            Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
            When she was good,
            She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

My nails are so thin, I'd love to stop with the polish, but they're too breakable.

Maybe if you use an enamel strengthening toothpaste

Great stuff indeed. The use of the term curry take-out gets used a lot as well  :D
I find the UK people have a great depth of character to them.
They are very conversational. I am a bit jealous of their vocabulary.

I pickup a lot of slang from watching their version of Big Brother and other tv series.
I like that they are allowed to swear on tv in the UK after like 8pm or something like that.

I think the portion of young folks in the UK rival or even are ahead for their thirst of celebrity gossip when compared to North America and the TMZ style fluff.
I can't be arsed with any celebrity gossip  ;)

Woodlice.  We call them potato bugs.

Ours didn't look like that, they didn't have legs sticking out from the side
