@DynamoHum you're a smart cookie, so you may all ready be doing this: neck extension, using the muscles at the base of you neck to push your chin back and also looking upwards helps. Additionally, using a door frame to help stretch your shoulder back and your peck/ribs forward is a nice stretch- just try and keep your arm at 90 or lower. Slow and gentle wins the race. You're going to hat me for saying this but the computer work is probably aggravating it.
Thank you, yes I have been doing stretches like that. You are right the computer stuff won’t be helping, which is why I took a sick day today to give it a complete rest. I am already fighting off carpal tunnel in my right wrist, so I really don’t need this on the left hand side. It’s from 20 odd years of work of this kind. I did make a joke to a friend around 15 years ago that by my 40’s I would be hunched over half blind and with claws for hands from all this computer work - guess I was right!
I warned work that tomorrow I won’t be my usual speedy self with stuff, and I will have a little jiggle of my work space to try and make things a little easier
I need a new neck!
