Come on TW, post! I've been to NYC, several times, NJ, Pennsylvania, Virginia, NC, Georgia, Florida. I've never been north of NY. I know you are on the East Coast. What is your favorite city there?

I live in NYC.. in Brooklyn.. i haven't left NYC in years except to go to New Jersey..lol  i love Manhattan, so much to see and do and Brooklyn is kind of a hot spot now.. it changed for the better  )

I haven't spent much time in Brooklyn but I have friends who live on Long Island. I stayed with them once, many years ago. I had to go see somebody in New Jersey. My friend said "Here, take the Ferrari". I think it was a 308 but I'm not sure. I was really nervous.

What the hell- I'll take another stab at Ellgab / Bellgab.  I'm going to preface it by saying that I still enjoy it here.  If I did not, I would be gone.  I don't want people to think that I am slamming Ellgab.

The fact is that while most posters here claim that they were not enjoying Bellgab, they found Ellgab within one to three days of Bellgab going down, signed up, and were relieved to find MOST of the same faces.  That says something about the place that we are now saying was horrid and poisionous.

I'm not going to beat the free speech / protected status anymore (at least right now.)  And I am not going to say that this is "superior" or be stupid enough to believe that Ellgab is more mature.  It is mostly the same posters with a few additions (people who may not have felt comfortable enough to post at Bellgab, but must have enjoyed the posts and posters enough to follow it and find their way over here.)

I don't find myself self censoring here, and I did not there (I just noticed that I may have referred to a number of posters here as "stupid" in the last paragraph.)  I have also said that I understand why most posters were sent to the zoo.  However, with so many of the more aggressive animals locked away, I will say that I rarely visit the politics forum here.  I find it a little boring without MD and Metron there to jump on what I may post and it is the same vanilla political discussion that I can have anywhere.  However, I am enjoying the rest of the board.

So- now for a question for those posters who were not members at Bellgab...  If Bart shut down this board, and MV reopened BG, would you try your hand at posting there now that you have found that (most) posters don't bite (too hard)?

My 2 cents worth. I joined Bellgab in 2013. I had a lot of fun there, enjoyed most of the posters had a few fights, had a lot of laughs and was sorry to see it end. I am here now, I like it here, enjoy the posters here and am having fun. Not sure why we need to compare the two or really worry about it. I just happy Bart set this up and gave us a place to go.
