Just listened to this call.  The most noteworthy thing Corny told us was, whenever George does a live show somewhere, he personally calls the local police to make sure George and Tommy are protected.  He said he called the Columbus (Ohio) a few weeks ago to ensure "George Norway and Tommy" would be safe.

Can you imagine the police dispatcher taking those calls?  I wonder if it would be possible to request a recording of that call through FOIA?  Even better, have a bunch of us call the Alexandria, La police and ask that they make sure Cornelius White Jr is protected and kept safe.

That should be reversed.  The crowd needs to be ensured that they are safe from those two when they come to town.

Syrett filling in tonight for Ian Punett who is not feeling well. Ian really, really wanted to do the interview with John Densmore. Ian feeling the side effects of Ozempic or some such I bet.

He could cover his head and the mic with a couple of towels while sitting on the toilet. That should kill all the bathroom echo... He is a quittener. Ian has resigned to the fact that Richard is getting C2C when George finally gets the boot.

John Densmore must have flown a kite a little too close to the electrical lines as a kid. Yeah, he's something like 80 now, but he sounded like a hippie in the middle of a trip.

Oh well, it was only an hour.

It was better than listening to my blood rush through my ears.

George is the perfect corporate toadie.   With PremRat, it's a symbiotic relationship.

Don't forget that he's a drummer.

I seriously doubt Ian would want the job, or would accept if offered.  In addition to still battling tinnitus, he's a full time professor at KSU.  He can't blab all night, then teach during the day.  Despite the fact the full time C2C gig would probably at least triple his professor's salary, I think his intellectual ego would preclude from ditching academia for nightly interviews with typical C2C guests and calls from the likes of Corny, MtM, and Cleopatra.

Yes, he is not going to compromise his intellectual endeavors. If I recall correctly, other than George Knapp, Ian is the only other person that Art Bell directly chose to be involved in the show, right?

Not sure about that.  Remember there were a lot of rent-a-hosts back in the day.....Hilly Rose, Barbara Simpson, Mike Siegel, Rollye James, etc.  I guess it's a question of whether you make a distinction between Bell picking v. approving guest hosts.  I'd assume he had total control of that process before he sold the rights to Premiere. Certainly he at least approved Noory initially as a guest host 3-4 years before George took over full time.

Cornholio called Richard. Lips flapped, hot air blew.  Nothing said. Falkie claims superior intelligence, why hasn't he been a regular caller?  SuckPack.

Yep Cornelius just called in telling how he calls Elon Musk, Evil Musk since Corny is so afraid of his brain implant - he thinks all new tech is "the mark of the beast" and he is also afraid of getting a computer for the same reason...

I truly think that, because of his past history of making criminal threats, that he has been banned from using a computer as a part of probation, stiffer consequences, or stuff.

He did choose another, for a more recent show.  She was the worst of all, although she could at times be the most entertaining.

Art's the Ted Williams of radio.  Played great, but couldn't teach or coach it.
