2020 CoronaVirus Outbreak - That began in Wuhan, China and is spreading

Just to let people know, the new virus has only killed about a fifth of the people that flu killed a couple years ago.  And, in Washington State, the new virus has only killed about half of the people that flu killed a couple years ago.
It's all a scam so far.

There are problems with comparing these. The testing of corona is more widespread, and the collection of some of the data is questionable. Also, since people are staying home and businesses are closing with this one and that did not happen in the past, you can't really compare the numbers.

Most of my life, I have worked in a hospital. Over the years, I made lasting friendships with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, techs, house keepers and security guards/police. 
I recently retired, yet I did not retire my friends in the hospitals or with the police/fire.
Just today, my brother asked me if I personally know someone with the virus. Of course I do. I explained to my brother, if you work in a hospital, you are seeing your co workers sent home after testing positive. You know of police/fire fighters who are testing positive. And my 2 friends who are not only RNs but also are worried sick with having their mothers who have tested positive in nursing homes.
My brother knows of no one with the virus VS me. I know of several people with the virus. My friends are on the front lines wearing home made masks.

HOWEVER the massive precautions and shutdowns has certainly altered what would have been. This virus might appear less of a big deal but that is because of the precautions and shutdowns. The danger of corona virus can't be downplayed by comparing it to other viruses, I meant you simply can't compare it because the circumstances around it and any other virus is not at all the same. Hopefully as the weather warms there will be fewer cases. We'll see!

''Thank you China''.  Really?  For allowing the whole world to be infected by putting out propaganda, and knowingly allowing plane loads of infected passengers to leave Wuhan for other countries - including ours - but not on internal flights to other cities within China?  For continuing to hide information and putting out lies to this very day?  China is solely responsible for thousands of deaths in this country, the loss of millions of jobs, trillions in retirement account losses, and trillions in additional federal and state deficit spending. 

How about this:  send home all the ''Thank you China'' disinformation agents, cancel the trillions of our bonds held by the Chinese government, and start treating that government as the pariah it is.  We didn't trade with the Soviet Union, why are we doing business with China?
