I can't imagine ANY American from any previous generation abandoning common sense and crying about having to do common sense things as a virus circulates... or do you want to tell @Jayzelady it's just the flu?
Yes, seatbelts. Not forbidding people to drive, and blowing up bridges and roads.
No one is saying this isn't a very serious illness. But in many ways the cure is worse than the disease, and those making the decisions are not taking that into account. When the fatality rate is well under 1%, and the vast majority of those are very elderly people who were already sick, perhaps the most vulnerable should have been asked to self-quarantine.
If masks and lockdowns and conflicting advice and job destruction and deception and cherry-picking ''the science'' and playing politics worked, this would have been over in two weeks.
