I seem to recall that he did, in fact I seem to recall that we all did. There was very little obesity back then (the 40s, 50s & 60s) and it seemed like we could eat lots of food without gaining any weight. One of the things I liked about Uncle Frank was his voice. He had a very nice, mellow tone of voice, very calming. I used to love conversing with him just to hear him talk.
Sounds like your Uncle Frank was not like Uncle Amos. You are correct about obesity back in the day. 80% of the people in my family were/are thin. And we loved to eat our meals. No snacks and no soda. I think food was
cleaner. Does that make sense
@Rikki Gins ?
My father had a very sweet sister named Elizabeth. Aunt Elizabeth was married to FRANK. Uncle Frank was plump and mean to everyone. Uncle Frank only loved his biting little Chihuahua.
When Uncle Frank passed over, he was buried in plot with my family--with family members that were unknown to the immediate family. A very old family plot. My sweet Aunt Elizabeth was buried with her Mother.
PS/ I am enjoying this story line about the Major and his adventure in the airplane and the walnut tree.
