Bill Post, who invented Pop-Tarts, has died at age 96.

This makes the ending of the Pop Tart Bowl a couple of months ago even more cryptic and disturbing. Was it a premonition

Lefty Driesel - college basketball coach. He once said that if he ever won the ACC championship at Maryland, he'd mount the trophy on the hood of his car and drive all around the state of North Carolina.  92

Ah that's a shame. 92 is a great run though. Him banging heads with Dean Smith and the Rat Man was always a hoot.

Had a subordinate who did basically the same thing on his performance appraisal.  He told me he didn't feel comfortable evaluating himself, that he thought that was my job. The funny thing was he actually quite capable and well liked by his coworkers.

This won't mean anything to an American but...fuck it. The actor John Savident has died at age 86. He was a familiar face on Coronation Street back in the nineties and for some odd reason I have been thinking about him the last few days. Actually I thought he died years ago. He was also famous for being stabbed. It's a great story, he got some bloke back to his flat for sex (although he claimed they were there to 'discuss the theatre', which has been my favourite euphemism for gay sex ever since) and he knifed him. This was back in the days when people didn't talk about homesexuality (he was a married man) and the media didn't openly talk about what went on so you had to join the dots a bit. It's very different now of course.

Sadly, his Wikipedia page was nowhere near what his IMDb page was like. I saw a photo that looked familiar, but all fat guys with little hair look alike. I did find that he was in Mr. Bean Takes a Test. The dude has been around the block, I saw a reference to him being on The Saint as well.

It was funny that his most famous role of Fred Elliott had him using this outrageously over the top Lancashire accent, but his real voice was very suave and posh.

Seeing stuff on the internet that King Charles has six months to live and Princess Kate has 6 to 12 weeks. What the hell is going on over there?

I always wondered why @Peter Wyngarde was completely absent from here the entire time of the coronation.
Merry Christmas
