If I haven't expressed it already, many thanks go to California governor Gavin Newsom's over-reaction, possibly biased reasons for shutting down hair salons.
I have discovered that I can give myself a respectable, decent haircut saving myself $30 a month. Knowing that the last three stylists that I've used over the past decade all were card-carrying, steadfast Democrats, I can say without a great deal of certainty that I am depriving his political supporters of an income.
Along with other purchase decisions, I am finding myself being more and more critical of where I spend my money.
True, I spend money through Amazon and Costco, both steadfast Democrat-supporting organizations. I also make sure that I am saving money over all alternatives. So, if there's something that was a convenience buy if I went through Amazon or Costco, I now analyze if I have an alternative source.
I have also let my subscriptions to news providers, including the San Diego newspaper, lapse. Funny, I let my newspaper subscription lapse and they have continued delivering for 6 months! The last two Sundays, the largest section of the newspaper were special SJW sections on women and minorities. I reduce, reuse and recycle, the paper is used to minimize issues from my rescue kitties missing the litter box, etc...
For years, liberals, progressives and fascists have boycotted, protested and tried to destroy businesses owned by people who had a differing opinion from theirs. I hope more people are doing what I am doing. Giving them a dose of their own medicine might be the thing that starts to force corporate change. Good luck sportsballers, taking a knee and all.
