Yeah, that what comes out of two of the computers.  My music computer connects out of a Focusrite audio box.  I need to listen there through headphones and see if the noise is there.  I hear the noise without any of the synths turned on.

The two-channel Focusrite box that was marketed with ProTools had an opamp issue at some point. I remember being told by somebody using it that they preferred using unbalanced signals because they actually had less noise amplified. I am pretty sure that it was that upright box that was kind of baby blue and cream white.

The headphone amplifier is a completely separate circuit which could introduce some and give you a false positive.

It doesn't hurt to take each connector out and use isopropyl alcohol to clean the ends and see if you can isolate where that noise is being introduced. When I was running a studio out of my home, I had certain types of lighting dimmers and those had to stay off, I also would put a sign on my refrigerator not to open the door because that switch would throw a pop through my electrical. Those were not 60 cycles. I think that was more RF interference on the lights. Do you have a smart thermostat maybe? Even a doorbell circuit has to step the voltage down, that could introduce a non-60 cycle hum.

When we moved to Washington I of course had to reassemble my studio desk ETC. The rats nest behind what looks like a nice clean setup is unbeleivable, even though I tried to trim it down from the way it was up north. Once it was all set back up there were problems with signal levels through the rackmount units. I took pictures before the move, took all precautions and used all the same cords and cables but still, fucking issues. One day about two weeks after we were moved in I put on an open lines with Art Bell extavaganza (9 hours worth) and went to work retracing my steps and troubleshooting. A-lot of swearing and booze that day but it worked out and I was back in business.

I bought a fresh can of electrical contact cleaner.  I guess my Sunday will be spent spraying connectors, pots, sliders, and switches.  And making the rat’s nest even worse.  I should have gotten into the cable making business.  BTW, I found out the hard way that some Hosa cables have plastic connectors that are just covered in thin conductive foil. They’re not metal at all.
