Wow. Still looks the exact same. Take's ya back, makes me want to listen to a show from 97 or 98.

I am certainly curious about how long artbell.com survived after his retirement. I'm sure pressure from PremSuck was there to get rid of it. They wanted the greatest late night talkshow host ever to be memory holed because George got it.

Eh, nevermind...

Art would be all over the latest advances in AI tech.
He loved to jump on new tech from those first webcam pics to streaming on Periscope, he loved the toys.
I am sure he would also understand how it will disrupt what remains of broadcast radio - from creating his own bumper music to having an AI newsreader.
On the other hand he would probably fall for a new AI pic of alien contact every show.

He thought things were moving quickly before but his brain would explode if he came back today and saw someone write a few corny lyrics and 20 minutes later have a full song and video done.

Look, @Exile , SANDSQUATCH!

That's one handsome Sandsquatch!

8-21-95.

If it's all the same file, there was discussion of Palestinian terrorism killing Jews, there was American political issues... Strangely in line with today's events...  Shannon Falkner Was also discussed.

I don't know if it was part of the same show or not, but Art discussed the Internet getting a mind of its own.

Eh, nevermind...

4/5/96:

Art talks about Comet.  A tedious job because so many called to give Art advice, but that would be a great and touching compilation...  I am presuming that there is a plaque at the animal shelter...

Art also talks about getting a high power short wave station in eastern Europe to broadcast the show, I'm presuming that did not happen, but I'm curious how far their exploration went.
Eh, nevermind...

Their business model kinda wilted than it folded up. It was sad the way it was grounded up and plowed into the dirt.

:(

In tonight's Somewhere in Time (the initial antichrist line which was in June 1998, if I recall correctly), Art says to a caller to turn off the radio. Then he mutters the antichrist should know that. George fucking Noory couldn't dream of such a humorous quip if it was written on a 3 x 5 card and in all capitals

I remember that one. Might have to listen to it again. I currently have a really good MITD episode on pause while I'm here in the office for a few hours. If you have access to MITD check out the Andrew Asiago episode. Have to admit, it's riveting.

Pretty sure it can be found on Internet Archive. If not I can send you a link to my server.

YouTube has a 2:15 minute and a 45-minute version of the show

Huh. Strangely enough, I was making fresh spaghetti and meatballs that day and there was a fresh block of actual asiago on the counter as I posted. Guess I was really looking forward to dinner.

It was gooood.
