Yeah, three watermelons.  It was the first time I'd seen the smaller round ones.  It was a good thing I like lamb and watermelon, it's about all they had at the market sometimes.

The people around were looking at him and smiling, I think he enjoyed showing off.

Shanghai 1986 and Shanghai 2018 would probably be like completely different worlds. That's a cool time to have been there.

In 1986 I spent 6 months traveling around Asia - 4.5 months in China, and a week or two each in Tibet, Nepal, India, Thailand, and British Hong Kong. 

I recently scanned my slides, I plan to post a few more - especially Tibet
