Bart,
The subject of my query is actually the foreshadowed chicken fucking from up above. To set the context, this film clip is necessary. Now it is a tad over two minutes. I know it is an imposition and I apologize in advance but it is important to set the stage:
With that in place, the issue I have is this. The spring chicks from my small flock are rapidly growing up fast. It is evident that one is a rooster. I don't need a second rooster. Rusty the big guy is good at his job. Polices up the hens, alerts them when food is available and lets them eat first, he is always down to get down and is not aggressive to humans. So the new rooster is just a useless eater. Homesteading types will say to allow an extra rooster to have a good life until it matures and then take them for meat [what happens to male chicks in real egg farms is horrifying]. I'm not a homesteading type though - I can't kill him Bart. I was there when he hatched out of his egg and he is a cool little dude.
So one thought is to let him free range around and if a hawk gets him a hawk gets him. The other was to sell him. Now much like the gentleman in the film clip, I don't approve of sexual relations with chickens. Also similar to the film clip - after viewing some of the patron's down at the Piggly Wiggly some of them boys in the area do look sexually frustrated. So the question is this - Is it okay to query potential buyers about chicken fucking? I can see the that being really offensive but then again I don't want to see the little guy abused.
