Bart,

You are a man of the world.

Have you ever put on some whites and participated in the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain?  The 2023 festival is on day six and winding down fast. I'm not a big fan but will check in a couple of times during the festival to get the stats for that given day.  Length of the run, total injuries, number of hospitalizations and total gored that day - simple, Mickey Mouse stuff.  I myself have never had an urge to make the run but I guess I wouldn't mind being a Pastore'.  They are those whipper dudes with the long whipper sticks. Officially they are there to keep the bulls moving along and not backing up but in practice they seem to spend most of the time whaling on drunks.

Years ago one of the obscure channels that normally shows things like fishing broadcast the Tour de France -which I always seek out to watch - and following that they showed the running of the bulls.  It was daily for something like 5 or 6 days, and completely insane.

They only showed it that one year, but I'd watch it every year if it was on.  Spend all night drinking and talking tough, then get on the narrow street between the bull ring and the stadium.  These monsters come running down the street with bad attitudes and there is nowhere to go, people trying to climb the sides of buildings, melt into doorways, some trying to beat the bulls to the arena before getting trampled or gored, I really wonder how many people do it more than once.

This site usually has a video of the days run and summary of the injury/hospitalization/goring counts:

Can you think of anything stupider than this second video?  Even running with the bulls?

I can.
Most of what I did from 1996-2003.

Bart, err  Bard,

Where the rubber meets the road isn't this just a milk crate, such as one might use to prop up a chest freezer? 143 shekels seems a might steepish.

Drill a few holes in your home Dept bucket, dig a hole half the height of your shitbucket, put your shitbucket in the hole and shit in the bucket.
Your carrots will thank you.

Bart, (@KSM @sean92008 ) what’s with these guitars without what I would call a head - the part at the top of the neck where the tuners are?  Do they have a different sound, or are they just another cheap trick to try to get women?

Women do not dig a headless dick.
Someone gave me one of these and they are weird to deal with, I now know what phantom limb pain must be like for an amputee.

Juan, if they have a different sound it's a lesser sound. The headstock actually resonates from string vibration. I have tuned guitars by placing the headstock against a wall in some cases. Wouldn't be able to do such a thing with a "headless dick" as Bard referred. Tuners are at the bridge I believe.

Fuck are they ugly. I think the guy from The Cars made those popular for a little while. @JUAN imagine a compromised tuba abomination thing.

The Chinese and Indians (dot) make a lot of brass lumps in the shape of a tuba.

Bart, what kind of skin toner do you use besides sperm?  Hehehe

Just kidding.

Seriously I want to know. I really like my Neutrogena Hydro Boost. The blue stuff.

Allan Holdsworth liked those. He died. Headless guitars are deadly.

Most headless guitars have lower tension on the string. The longer the strings are, the tighter the string needs to be in order to tune it. Cut out the headstock length and voila! Reverse headstocks, like Dick Dale's surf guitars, had a clearer, snappier bass because the bass strings were pulled a longer distance. Same thing for bigger pianos.

Holdsworth was a bit manic about his tastes, but he seemed to often go back to the headless design often enough.

They're shitty and no self-respecting player worth his salt would be caught dead with one. Just because we CAN do something doesn't mean we should play a headless axe. Actually a headless axe just becomes a handle will not split your wood. Same thing.

Dukes by Kramer weren't horrible (extra string past the bridge, but still headless).  Actually could get aggressive in a cut-through-the-mix way.

All the Steinbrenner bass owners I knew personally were jazz or finger style dorks.

Bart,  many women see Ryan Gosling as an attractive man. I have tried to look at this with a pragmatic view with no cares or opinions either way, and I still do not see how women find him so irresistible.

IS Ryan Gosling a good looking man? Forget get that he's a Canadian, just answer the question.

@Walks_At_Night Ask your wife.  Perhaps a womans POV is required here.
